ANY PERSON USING THE CROSS COUNTRY COURSE DOES SO ON THE UNDERSTANDING THAT THEY HAVE READ AND AGREED THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET OUT IN THIS DOCUMENT

Bonfleur Equestion Terms & Conditions (T&Cs)

  1. Acceptance of the Terms & Conditions of Use
  • By completing the online booking for your appointment, you would have been shown the Bonfleur Terms & Conditions of use, failure to agree to these T&Cs will automatically negate the bookings, as such you will have no legal right to enter and or use the course.
  • You will be asked as part of the T&Cs to read, understand and agree to the specific disclaimers contained within the agreement. It is critical that you fully understand and agree with the headings contained within the disclaimer section as this provides clear direction as to risk liability for participating at this course.
  • By agreeing to the T&Cs you are cleared to use the course, but do so at your own risk.
  1. General Requirements
  • Requirement for all users of the Bonfleur Cross-country Course
  • All riders must have completed a booking, by doing so you have agreed to all of the specific T&Cs and disclaimers contained within.
  • Riders under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
  • The course is open by appointment only. No unauthorised access is permitted.
  • All dogs must be kept on leads at all times.
  • Litter must be disposed of appropriately or taken home.
  1. Rider Safety

Capabilities. Please ride at all times within yours and your horses’ capabilities and fitness levels.

  • All riders must wear a correctly fastened riding hat to current BHS/BE/PC standards.
  • Body protectors meeting BETA 2018 Level 3 standard are mandatory.
  • Medical armbands are recommended.
  • No riding alone – a competent person must be present on the ground.
  • Riders must inspect fences before jumping and ensure they are appropriate for their level.
  1. Horse Welfare
  • All riders are to ensure that their horse / pony is fit prior to attending the course and must ensure:
  • Your horse / pony is in good health and appropriately vaccinated (equine influenza required within the past 12 months).
  • Your horse / pony has in date vaccinations. Vaccination cards and current passports must be available if requested. Anyone failing to produce a passport will be unable to use our facilities.
  • Any horse showing signs of illness or lameness may be asked to leave.
  • Fouling must be removed from all areas, including car parks.
  1. Course Conditions and Use
  • Riders must use only the designated areas and follow any marked routes.
  • No alterations to jumps or fences are permitted.
  • Do not ride in adverse weather if the ground conditions are unsafe.
  • In the event of an accident, report immediately to the operator via contact details provided.
  • The course may be closed at any time without notice for maintenance or safety.
  • Please do not overstay your booking, once finished please exit the course as to respect others timings.
  1. Course Guidance & Rules
  • Our guidance and rules are there for yours and others safety, you must comply with them at all times.

Lone Use. All riders must ensure they have a responsible adult with them before entering the Track, this is for your safety.

  • Every booking for the use of any of facilities must include an adult with a working mobile phone who will always be in attendance when the course/facilities are in use.
  • Lone riders must be accompanied by a non-riding adult while using the course.

Children. Children (deemed as those under the age of 16) must be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult. Where there is a group booking (Pony Club / Group) there must be a minimum of 1:8 ration of adult to child.

Other Visitors and/or Friends of the Family. Non-riding visitors to the facilities must take all reasonable precautions around horses and vehicles at all times and children must be supervised at all times.

Public Footpaths. There is a public footpath (right of way) that crosses the course, we ask that you make yourself familiar as to where it is (see map attached and map in office) and ensure that you always give way to members of the public using the footpath.

Warning Signs. We have many different warning signs all over the farm and course, they are there for a reason, you must obey them. We reserve the right to ask you to leave the grounds at any time if we think you are a danger to yourself.  Movement of Horses & ponies and Farm Equipment around the yard and surrounding areas is unavoidable and we ask you to give way to them at all times.

Smoking Policy.  We have a No Smoking Policy across the site, please observe this at all times.

Dogs. It is compulsory that all dogs are kept on leads at all times.

Cars, Lorries, Trailers. Bonfleur cannot be held responsible for any damage to your transportation while on the premises/grounds. All vehicles are parked on the site at the owner’s risk.

Access. Please drive slowly along our drive at all times. Maximum Speed on the premises is 10mph.

Personal Property. We cannot be held responsible for Damage, Theft or Loss of your personal property while it’s on the premises.

  1. Liability and Insurance
  • All users must carry their own public liability insurance and provide evidence upon request.
  • Bonfleur Equestrian accepts no responsibility for injury, damage, or loss to any persons, animals, or property arising from the use of the course.
  • The course is used entirely at your own risk. By booking, you agree to waive all claims against the landowner, employees, or agents for any injury or damage sustained.
  1. Agreement of Terms

T&Cs. If you do not agree with any of Terms and Conditions, then you do not have permission to enter the premises and any bookings attempted are null and void. Our no Cancellation Policy applies in this situation, our Terms and Conditions are available online and on request at any time. As such you have every opportunity to read them before booking any activity and a refund will not be available on failure to accept them.

Warrant. By booking the facilities you, and any users you are booking for, are declaring that you have read and fully understand the course / facility rules and agree to abide by them at all times.

  1. Disclaimers
  • Neither the proprietors, nor any employee nor any person acting on their behalf, accept any liability for any loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators or any other persons or cars and contents or property under any conditions whatsoever.
  • The proprietors of Bonfleur Equestrian Ltd and Clock House Farm Ltd have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the Health & Safety of everyone who uses the course. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take reasonable care to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and MUST OBEY any rules and instructions given.
  • PLEASE NOTE DISCLAIMER: Bonfleur Equestrian Ltd, Owners, Staff and Managing agents cannot be held responsible for any accident, injury or loss to any persons or their property whilst on these premises or whilst riding.

GDPR: The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) standardises data protection lawns and processing across the EU. Bonfleur Equestrian is the Data Controller for your personal data, which means that we decide what information we need to keep about you, why and how we process that data. While accessing our booking system we only capture the absolute necessary information required to validate your bookings.  For a copy of our full GDPR policy see separate document, or request from the Bonfleur Management.
